NEW ALBANY, Ind. – A company based in the Purdue Research Park of Southeast Indiana that helps clients monitor and manage energy usage has changed its name, shifted its focus to industrial clients and added two advisers.
EnterScape™, previously Energy Management Solutions LLC, provides proprietary technologies and services to assist large industry clients with their enterprise monitoring needs.
President Hershel “Ed” Fancher said EnterScape has developed a SaaS business model and software platform for the industrial market.
“EnterScape’s proprietary data management and reporting software, UtilityRecon®, supports both utility (energy) and enterprise (process) monitoring,” he said. “EnterScape can provide either a turn-key service, including data acquisition hardware and installation, or data management and hosting utilizing UtilityRecon.”
Jeff Myers and Sterling Lapinski have joined EnterScape as advisers. Myers is manager of smart grid development at Louisville Gas & Electric Co. and Kentucky Utilities Co. Lapinski is co-founder of Genscape Inc., a leading provider of real-time energy information.
“Jeff and Sterling bring a wealth of knowledge that can only strengthen EnterScape in its mission to provide our industrial clients with the maximum value from their utility and enterprise data,” Fancher said.
Lapinski created and managed Genscape’s technology and intellectual property, for which he received 16 domestic and foreign patents, with over a dozen patents pending related to energy information technologies. Genscape was acquired by The Daily Mail and General Trust in 2006 in a transaction valued at $140 million. He currently serves as a Genscape board member, and serves as an adviser and board member to multiple early-stage businesses.
Myers has more than 20 years of experience in the electric utility industry. He is involved in the development of smart grid strategies that includes smart meter and distribution automation deployments.
