Job Title: Energy / Electrical Engineer
Location: New Albany, Indiana
Roles and Responsibilities
- Communication with customer (facility managers and energy engineers) to understand the goals of a energy monitoring project
- Design of monitoring systems and preparation of formal quotations
- Coordination of installs with vendors and equipment suppliers
- Customize reporting software to meet customer needs
- Conduct energy use studies and prepare assessments identifying areas of opportunity
- Coordination of upgrades with third-party vendors
- Analysis of energy usage relative to performance contracts
- Generation of periodic reports to support customer energy conservation initiatives
Desired Skills
- Good communications are a must (verbal and written)
- Good organizational and management skills
- Experience and/or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvements
- Energy modeling (systems and building)
- Solid analytical and technical skills
- Statistical analysis, including regression analysis, non-linear analysis, and DOE
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Extensive of advanced Excel functions and add-ins is a plus
Desired Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
Certifications: PE, CEM, or LEED AP (Building Operations & Maintenance preferred)
Experience: We are seeking a candidate with either extensive experience in plant/facility engineering (8+ years) or focused experience (4+ years) in energy management. Experience in the field of controls and data analysis will also be considered.
